    Who we are

    Jacques Cronje

    Jacques Cronje graduated with BSc Building Management from UCT in 1990. He worked for NST Construction, a firm specialising in log and timber homes, from 1992 to 1994, as draughtsman and operations manager. In 1995 he joined T&B Log Homes and worked as the site manager on various projects in the Garden Route and in 1996 as the contract manager on a timber resort hotel on Praslin Island in the Seychelles.

    From 1997 to 1999 he worked as a manager for T&B Log Homes involved in operations, production and product research and development. In 2000 he worked with Cape Island Homes, a company specialising in construction of upmarket timber frame homes, as a technical consultant. He joined with Tradon Architects in 2001 as a partner, timber consultant and specialist designer of timber homes. He graduated with a Bcom in Economics in 2003 (Unisa) and has attended various courses on Sustainable Development and Sustainable Building. He started his own practice,

     ‘Jacques Cronje Timber Design’ in 2007, to focus on the design of sustainable and timber buildings. He is a registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) as a Professional Architect (Pr.Arch)



    Lauren Pearce

     Lauren studied Interior Architecture at Inscape Education graduating in 2019. Landing her first job working as a yacht Interior Designer was an experience she was highly grateful for and taught her    many vital design solutions, however her interests lay in architecture therefore pursuing into the world of the built environment. Her passion within the world of design and taking a concept from    drawing to reality. She believes that the implementation of a good all round design embodies the acknowledgement of the human psyche & observing how people move throughout and interact with the space and objects around them, and that excites her to know that she has design as a tool to transform someone’s experience. As a designer she believes we are made to create a positive impact for our environment so that future generations can use going forward as a good foundation for moving forward in our society. Design is interactive and by means is used to improve the lives of the user. Therefore, it is important to make one positive change at a time through concepts and designs.
